ACLS:

  • For healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response

What does this course teach?

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED

  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia

  • Airway management

  • Related pharmacology

  • Management of ACS and stroke

  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

Important Information

The ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment is an online tool that evaluates a student’s knowledge before the course to evaluate their proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice in 3 sections: rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and practical application. The student must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking the ACLS Course.

(First time or expired) This American Heart Association Provider certification training AHA’s ACLS Course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS). Precourse workThe ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment is an online tool that evaluates a student’s knowledge before the course to evaluate their proficiency and determine the need for additional review and practice in 3 sections: rhythm recognition, pharmacology, and practical application. The student must complete the Precourse Self-Assessment and achieve a score of at least 70% before taking the ACLS Course. The student must print their successful completion certificate and bring it with them to class. The ACLS Precourse Work involves a student reviewing course content through online videos before entering the classroom. The video lessons cover multiple medical subjects and each lesson includes questions to engage the student. This precourse work allows more classroom time for hands-on skills training and leads to the student being better prepared to participate as soon as they enter the classroom. * Further instructions will be available in your confirmation page. AHA HeartCode Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Online Blended

(Online ACLS) HeartCode ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. HeartCode blended learning delivers quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives them more control to complete the course at their own pace.
